Hope BJP Govt will learn lessons from Sri Lanka: Mehbooba | KNO

Srinagar, May 11 (KNO): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday asked the incumbent government ion centre to take lessons from the situation in Sri Lanka. Addressing a news conference, Mehbooba said that the way communal hatred is being promoted and spread in the country would certainly deteriorate the situation on the ground. “Such a situation was also being witnessed in Sri Lanka and I hope the BJP government will take lessons from Sri Lanka situation and would stop such happenings on the ground at earliest,” she said, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). About the bulldozing of houses of Muslims, Mehbooba said that the judiciary should have taken suo-moto cognizance in this regard, but it is not coming forward. “I can’t say anything else in this regard but I hope that justice is done,” she said—(KNO)
